The AGM was held on the 10th of August at the Band room.

A Life Membership certificate was present to Ken Lindsay and he was thanked as an outgoing committee member.

After all positions were declared vacant the following officers were elected for the executive committee

President - Gordon Hartley

Vice President - Sonya Lovegrove

Treasurer - Tony Carey

Secretary - Valerie Staunton

 

Re-elected committee members were Julie Lovegrove and Ann Staunton

new elected committee members were Mary Chirgwin, Ashley Anderson, Yvonne Low and Paul Richards

 

Congratulations to you all, our next meeting is the 7th of September, 6pm at the Green Room.

 

The following members were recipients of a number of awards presented this year.

for most consistent band member - the Trevor Hancox perpetual trophy - Bec Bach

for most improved band member - Yvonne Low

the Music Directors Encouragement award - Holly Davies

 

All band members received a certificate of appreciation for their services during the 08/09 year.

For those who werent at band that night, your certificate will be posted to you in due course or presented to you at the next attended rehearsal.

 

Thankyou to all outgoing committee members and congratulations to the new committee.

We will endeavour to follow on with the implementation of the Strategic planning created from our planning day in May, updating band uniforms, creating policies and planning a masterclass and concert in October.

 

Here's to our continued success, improvement and further recruitment.
